Vice City

Say what you’d like to say about the Weka Condom Mpangoni advert – and you might as well because everyone else has – but if you thought the Mututho laws on alcohol reduced the quantities or the number of people imbibing, you are probably also wrong on this one.

Before it’s misconstrued, I’m not advocating for infidelity if you can keep it safe, far from it. Infidelity is wrong, promiscuity should never be entertained. An absent spouse shouldn’t give anyone a right to sleep with another. That’s my school of thought, that’s my belief. That’s not the fact.

Snakes and Ladders

To argue that a quest for power by any means necessary is not reflective of a spirit of servanthood, is wrong and must be first dealt with privately. True, the sole purpose of power is in service, but let’s be honest, how many times have we sought higher positions in order to earn that respect, be in a position of control, a position of influence?

His blow had hit the target. There was a groan, a thud and a reeling on the floor. Seconds earlier, a shriek had been the response to a perfectly timed slap. Now, with one foot on the head, he displayed a knife to the almost frozen face. He demanded respect, he bayed for answers. It wouldn’t be business as usual if none was forthcoming, whenever he expected it. Otherwise, the same treatment would be served, again.
